A single patch for both bass drum and clap or snare.

Using a single VCA makes it more snare-like than clap-like. If the wave folder isn’t being shaped by VCA-A, then you can make it more clap-like. To do this, patch the noise directly to the filter, then mix the wave folder and VCA-A in the mixer. And patch the mixer to Main 1.

For the Clap:

1: Set Cascadia to dual mono mode, and setup your sequencer to send triggers on different channels.

2: Patch MIDI MOD to EXT Gate in. This will send the trigger from MIDI Voice 2 to ENV-A and B.

3: Send white noise into the filter.

4: Set the filter to bandpass 2 or 4. The bandpass filter in the 808 is set to 1,000 Hz / B5 +21¢. Use that as a starting point, then tune to taste.

Raise Q to accentuate the high frequencies and give the whole sound more punch.

The filtered noise is then sent to VCA-A and the wave folder in parallel paths.

5a: Patch the VCF to the wave folder in.

5b: Patch ENV-B to the wave folder MOD in. Set Wave folder Mod level higher for a more clap like effect. Set it lower for a more snare like sound.

For the Bass:

1: Create an envelope by sending the trigger to the slew limiter, and setting it to slew only on the decay. Then patch the slew to the LPF CV in.

2: Tune VCO-B to A1, and set it to '‘Pitch B’ to prevent MIDI from changing the note.

3: Patch VCO-B sine to LPF in.

4: Patch LPF to main out 2. If you want to process the signals separately, send is to the FX out.
